Boost your immune system for optimal function!

Immuneplex™ is a unique formulation with the purpose of aiding the immune system with essential vitamisns and minerals required for its proper function. In addtion, this essential combination of vitamins, minerals and herbs are antioxidant nutrients that can directly scavenge free radicals.
Free radical damage plays a part in many serious diseases:

And their role in disease prevention
A free radical is defined as an atom or molecule that has one or more unpaired electron(s). It is this electron imbalance that
leads to high reactivity of the free radical. Free radical cause a change in our cell's molecules, which creates a reaction that
damages our tissues. Our body possesses a defense mechanism to protect itself against free radical damage. These
mechanisms consist of low molecular weight free radical scavengers (vitamin A, C, E and beta-carotene) and enzyme systems
(superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione peroxidase). Normally these defense mechanisms can keep free radicals in
check and protect the body from oxidative damage. However, exposure to certain environmental pollutants such as smoke, air
or chemical pollutants, untreated drinking water, certain drugs, alcohol, solvents plus many others can make the free radicals
overwhelm the cellular defense mechanism.
Antioxidants
And their role in disease prevention
Cancer
Research data has shown that free radicals frequently have a role in the process of cancer initiation and promotion. Results
of cell and animal studies suggest that antioxidants alter cancer incidence and growth through their action as anticarcinogens,
quenching free radicals or reacting with their products. In cell culture studies, vitamin E and selenium inhibited transformation
of normal mouse embryo cells to cancerous cells following exposure to chemicals and radiation.
Coronary Heart Disease
A 14 year study of Finnish men and women, initially free from heart disease, showed that the risk of heart disease was 32%
lower for men and 65% lower for women in the highest tertile of vitamin E intake compared to the lowest tertile. Relative risk
of coronary heart disease mortality was 84% lower in women with vitamins
E, C and carotenoid intakes in the higher tertile. In the United States a study of subjects 67 to 105 years old with simultaneous
use of vitamin C and vitamin E decreased the risk of coronary heart disease mortality by 53%. In follow-up of a study of
87,245 female nurses, women who took vitamin E supplements for more than 2 years had a 41% lower relative risk of major
coronary disease.
Slowing of the Aging Process
One area of research on aging suggests that free radical damage to body cells leads to the pathological changes associated
with aging. Studies in Poland and Finland with elderly patients showed lipid peroxide levels in the blood decreased by as
much as 26% after supplementation with vitamins E, C and B6, selenium, beta-carotene and zinc for three months.
Alzheimer's Disease
In a study that evaluated daily antioxidant supplementation (vitamins A, B6, C and E, selenium and zinc) for one year in
geriatric patients in Denmark, blood flow measurements showed slight improvements in those who took antioxidants and
deterioration in those on placebo.
Cataract
Results from animal studies have shown that antioxidants are able to arrest and reverse cataract development to some extent,
suggesting that lipid peroxidation is involved in the process. In a comparison of self-reported intake of vitamin supplements by
175 subjects with cataracts and 175 individually matched cataract-free subjects, there was a 56% decrease in cataract risk in
subjects who took the vitamin supplements compared to those who did not.
